Children's Pottery Workshops in West Wales

As a designer-maker and mother of two, I have always experienced difficulty finding engaging and creative indoor activities for children in West Wales and the surrounding area.

Although my two are now adults, and the next generation is entering our family, I often hear complaints about finding a children's birthday party experience that doesn't involve a not-so-sanitary indoor play area. Parents aim for their children to have fulfilling and enjoyable experiences and to ensure that any activities offered are inclusive for children of all ages.

I recently discovered that organising PYOP and jewellery parties for children provides a completely different experience compared to running classes for adults - the children are immediately drawn into the activities and are not limited to unleashing their imagination and exploring their creative potential. The little ones are always in awe of the neon lights and the overall decor as they enter my Aberystwyth studio. The studio space has been transformed into a serene and atmospheric environment, enabling relaxation for parents and children.

Some children finish pottery painting or jewellery making rapidly, so by the end of the workshop, they will have the opportunity to create pocket friends; quirky miniature figurines made of polymer clay that they can always carry in their trouser pocket to provide comfort and a sense of security.

My ceramic classes in Ceredigion offer time for parents and children to have an entertaining and heartwarming experience with a refreshing glass of bubbly (alcohol-free, of course!) Parents are welcome to bring a cake for birthdays hosted at each jewellery and ceramic workshop.
